A Design Challenge
Orio is an Access Management Software that helps IT teams in big companies (500+ employees) manage all their software applications in one place. We have 1,000+ integrations with software applications like Figma, Microsoft, Notion, or Slack that integrate all the access information. From our platform, IT teams can manage all the employees’ access to different apps in one place, including detailed permissions from every software and providing a secure environment with SSO access. At the same time, Finance teams can access all the information related to the billing of every software, including the start date, end date, renewal date, total cost, and the different bills, to centralise financials and improve their team productivity.
The Problem:
Every time there's a new employee, the IT team needs to retrieve the information from HR and give them access to different tools depending on their role, teams, and responsibilities. Currently, there's no way at Orio to automate this process, so they need to do it manually. Also, updating or removing access when they are no longer necessary can take time and generate mistakes.
From a business perspective, we believe automating access management can help us improve user satisfaction, increase retention, and acquire new customers. In any case, to build the best solution, we should consider the cost, impact, and scalability of our decisions.
